Die Schweissstation wird als Punktschweissstation ausgeführt. Der Schweisskopf verfügt über 2 Elektroden die vertikal auf der Baugruppe positioniert werden. Der Schweissstrom fliesst durch die zu verschweissenden Teile (Kontaktteil und Gaszelle) wie in der unten abgebildeten Grafik dargestellt. Dabei wird der Schweissstrom überwacht.
