Für die Temperaturmessung wurden Thermoelemente des Typs K, Klasse 1, welche aus einer Charge hergestellt wurden, eingesetzt. Jedoch zeigt die Durchführung der Messungen an Referenzmaterialien im Temperaturbereich von 250 °C bis 500 °C, dass diese Thermoelemente Abweichungen aufweisen. Grund hierfür ist die magnetische und strukturelle Inhomogenität des Werkstoffs, aus dem die Thermopaare hergestellt wurden. Deswegen wurden schließlich Thermoelemente des Typs N verwendet. Diese zeigen eine wesentlich höhere Stabilität und Beständigkeit in dem angestrebten Messbereich.
