So konnten Wärmetransport-Phänomene in porösen Medien erkannt und nachgewiesen werden, die bislang anderen Wissenschaftlern verschlossen blieben. Infolge der Vielzahl der untersuchten Einflussgrößen wurden weitere Zusammenhänge beobachtet, für die derzeit noch keine Erklärung möglich ist und deshalb einer nachfolgenden Untersuchung bedürfen. So ergab sich beispielsweise, dass bei verschiedenen porösen Medien die effektive Wärmeleitfähigkeit im Überdruckbereich ab einem bestimmten Gasdruck sehr stark zunimmt.
