Für Commerzbank-Chef Martin Blessing ist die Zeit der Bescheidenheit vorbei. Für das abgelaufene Geschäftsjahr kassierte er erstmals seit 2007 wieder einen Bonus, wie aus dem am Mittwoch veröffentlichten Geschäftsbericht hervorgeht. Die Gesamtbezüge lagen bei knapp 2,7 (2013: 1,4) Millionen Euro. Davon entfiel nur knapp die Hälfte - rund 1,3 Millionen - auf das Grundgehalt.
Blessing hatte in den vergangenen Jahren auf Bonuszahlungen verzichtet und stets betont, erst solle Deutschlands zweitgrößtes Geldhaus - das in der Finanzkrise vom Staat gerettet wurde - wieder einen Nettogewinn im dreistelligen Millionenbereich schaffen. Das war 2014 trotz eines milliardenschweren Vergleichs mit den US-Behörden im Streit um Sanktionsverstöße und Geldwäsche der Fall: Unter dem Strich blieb ein Gewinn von 264 Millionen Euro übrig.
Auf der Bilanzpressekonferenz im Februar hatte Blessing noch betont, ob und wenn ja in welcher Höhe er für 2014 einen Bonus annehme, mache er unter anderem davon abhängig, wieviel der US-Vergleich die Bank koste. Die Aktionäre bekommen abermals keine Dividende.

Blessing betonte in seinem Brief an die Aktionäre aber auch, dass dies nicht unbedingt leichter geworden sei: 'Bei aller Zuversicht darf man nicht ignorieren, dass sich die Rahmenbedingungen für Banken verändert haben und dass das Marktumfeld für ein breites, profitables Bankgeschäft schwieriger geworden ist.'
