Natural convection
With heavily reduced pressure occurs in the cavities of the heat transfer essentially only by radiation, and sufficient appropriate protective shields to reduce heat loss. With increasing pressure, the heat transport increases continuously by natural convection. To estimate this effect the flow processes were investigated in the pressure vessel for several cases numerically using CFD. Fig. 11 shows an example in which the measuring system is heated to 1000 ° C.
